Why should you use our steel pipes for interior design?

Our steel pipes are of industrial quality and radiate a robust feeling in your home, they are the charm of industrial interior design, a mix of durability and finesse. These pipes & parts are of the same type that have been used in heating systems for houses for over 100 years.

Furnishing pipes that we call our rustic pipes also have a unique surface treatment that takes place in several different steps before the pipes are carefully washed and delivered to you, you won't find similar pipes anywhere else! We have put a lot of focus on finding this raw feel on  the pipes that we want, not the shiny/oily finish that many other pipes out there have.

If you're worried about weights and strain, you can sit back. Take our clothes rack as an example, it is very popular among shops and in public environments where they are exposed to very heavy wear. One of our clothes racks holds, for example, 100 kg, and we have also sold pipes and equipment bars to gyms around the country where they are actually used as training equipment. In other words, you can also build a stylish home gym from our pipes.

Rusty pipes

We love when pipes rust and want to point out that there is no danger, they will not rust for you. However, they can be difficult to unscrew again as the threads can rust together.

When it comes to using our pipes outdoors, you should be aware that steel gray (untreated) pipes & parts will rust. However, it looks very nice and because our products are of such high quality, it takes several years for an untreated pipe to become completely covered in rust. It lasts a very long time despite this rust and you don't have to worry about it breaking.

Important to bear in mind is that rusty pipes can cause stains and "get dirty", to avoid this you can advantageously spray clear varnish on the pipes when they have reached the desired amount of rust. This slows down the rusting itself while protecting the pipes.

If you want the pipes to rust faster, you can spray some salt water on them or let them lie outside in the grass for a few nights where it is damp for a long time.

We've built several outdoor stair railings out of steel gray pipe and parts and they just get better and better every year.

If you choose powder-coated parts (e.g. matt black), the color is UV resistant and approved for outdoor use, however, rust may occur to a lesser extent in the threads between the pipes and, as previously mentioned, they may become more difficult to unscrew in the future.
